Progress. More text soon. Just posting images for now.

The paintings arrived packed in peanuts, which were left all over Amy's sister's floor. Sorry Tami!

Needs a frame and possibly some reds. More work to do!

Here we go!

A few days after the supplies arrived I had quite a big job ahead. I had to clean out my studio which had been quite neglected and had also become a dumping ground for all things.

Here are a couple of before shots, followed by a few after shots.

And after...

Much better.

Getting started was a bit daunting as it has been many years since I've painted. I've been busy earning two master's degrees, one in eLearning and the other in Art History. My friend Bob made the perfect suggestion - drink some wine and do a sketch. So I did.

First washes.

Both very rough first drafts.... Now onward!

Getting Started

Today I will begin a project painting Utah Aspens for my sister-in-law for the cabin she and my brother recently purchased in Sundance. I have not painted in a long while because I have been busy working on two Master's degrees - an Ed.M in eLearning and an MA in art history. I am so excited to be getting back into the studio!

Supplies arrive.

The next step is to clean out the studio!
